I just realised the other day what a ridiculous amount of pink and cutesy stuff I use in my day to day life. Not the image I have of myself at all! I think I’m just naturally drawn to things which are colourful and cartoony.

New Bears Comic: the punk band is starting to take shape! Sort of.

The key question this comic does not address is: what fool would lend Sausage Bear a telecaster? Even a very wonkily drawn one.

I’ve been thinking of gathering all The Bears comics into a collection. They are very silly and hastily drawn, but people seem to like them and there’s been quite a lot of them spread across various comics over the past few years, as well as a few unpublished ones.

I had time to draw just for fun today, so I made a comic about Alkaline Trio! One of the main things I always remember about that album was it smelled really good- the inks used to print the CD cover. After my moment of rose-tinted nostalgia I remembered that actually being 15 was pretty miserable, and I got a bit down about that. Maybe that’s why I liked this album in the first place!

My copy of the Adventures in Comics 3 newspaper arrived the other day, which included my comic on the theme ‘The Great Tree’ (the one on the left). I realised that this is actually the first time I have submitted a comic to someone else’s publication. Drawing comics is the fun part, nice to have someone else do all the work for once!

Commissioned illustration for a PhD guidebook. Speaking of PhDs, I finished the complete draft of my thesis today! 60000 words. So while my supervisors check over it I’ll have a little more time than usual, which I’m going to use to pick up on my Bunny Behind The Moon project, which has been on the shelf for a while.
